Tea and Kittens
Feb 27th
The Daily Mail and Daily Express are popular UK tabloid newspapers.
When using the internet in the UK it’s almost impossible to avoid occasionally accessing the website of one or the other, even if one finds their political and social outlook unpleasant or offensive. This is usually caused by accidental forays into the danger zone often caused by clicking on URL shortened links.
KittenBlock is a Firefox add on by Tom Royal and is designed to solve this problem. It performs one simple function: if the browser is directed to either website it will be redirected instead to a selection of photos of cups of tea and fluffy kittens from http://www.teaandkittens.co.uk

There is no override option, and there are no options to configure. The extension can be disabled in the usual manner should the user wish. Although why you would want to do that is beyond us…
Tea on the open road
Feb 4th
Our friend Martin Dorey is a man who loves life as much as he loves his tea. His first book, The Campervan Cookbook, contains an entire section devoted to elevenses and the perfect cuppa in a camper. In fact, getting a brew on is a recurring theme throughout his enormously popular celebration of life aboard a classic VW camper. What better way to greet the AA man than with a cup of steaming hot tea? Indeed.
Last summer – as a result of the book – Martin spent 5 weeks driving around the UK in search of the very best in camper van living for a new BBC2 TV series, One Man and His Camper Van.
The show follows Martin around the country as he cooks, forages, fishes and has fun in his 1970s classic camper. In total the van covered 2500 (virtually) trouble free miles on this odyssey to find the very best in camper van food. It’s an adventure filled with moules on the beach, lobsters on a cliff top, bilberry jam in a camper van and all kinds of other gorgeous goodies.
So why not join us on our big fat virtual sofa with a mug of your favourite tea to share Martin’s adventure when it hits our screens on Monday 7th February at 6.30pm. We think you might just ♥ it.
Tea Appreciation Society co-founder Shayne House will be working with Martin to extol the virtues of The Tea Appreciation Society and all it means in Martin’s new book coming soon. So watch this space…
Martin’s camper van dashboard wears Tea Appreciation Society I ♥ Tea mug. Available from our online shop: Tea Appreciation Society online shop.
