Hats off and Tea / Bon Voyage Mr Harley
Nov 7th
We’re saying Bon Voyage to our dear friend Mr Martin Harley tonight who is off on a tour to Barbados. It’s always a pleasure to hear his music caressing our ears from the gramophone in our drawing room.

Sometimes when we’re gadding about town we listen to him on our newfangled ipod contraptions, we enjoy him very much.
Hopefully Martin will keep in touch with his news from the old colony.
He’ll be back next year to grace our blustery shores with his wonderful melodies, and will hopefully be involved in a little festival we’re planning. Until then Martin, to your good health!
Why not have a look at what Martin got up to on his Blues Goes Green Tour this year, where he cycled to every gig. What a damn fine fellow.

Thanks for sharing a photo with us of you in your new Tea Appreciation Society tea-shirt.
That tea looks a bit milky in my view, but hey Cody, you brew it however you like. We’re the Tea Appreciation Society, not the tea police. Enjoy.
All Tea Appreciation Society tea-shirts are made from organic cotton, produced using wind power (for electricity) and solar energy (to heat the water that dyes the fabric) We then screen print by hand all our tea-shirts using water based ink.

The ‘Legendary Pink Dot Tea Set’ by Maxim Velcovsky was originally supplied by Thorsten Van Elten, for Kate Boddington’s photograph in part of a series entitled ‘The Haunting’

Kate studied Fine Art at Sheffield Hallam then Commercial Photography at The Arts Institute at Bournemouth. From Pinhole photography to commercially grounded tableau vivants, Kate’s work plays on the idea of absence to evoke loose narratives filled with intensity and suspense. She has worked for Wallpaper* Magazine, East Photographic and Marco Santucci’s to name a few, and was voted one of Wallpaper* Magazine’s graduates to watch in 2008.
Tea Appreciation Society reaches 250,000 and still brewing
Oct 17th
We’re celebrating reaching a bit of a milestone this week. 1/4 of a million fans on our Facebook fanpage. 250,000 people and still brewing stronger by the minute.
All of us at Tea Towers would to thank you all for your support, without which we couldn’t continue our work promoting the love of tea, community and the creative human spirit.
YOU are the Tea Appreciation Society and don’t you forget it.

Thank you.
Now pop the kettle on and lets celebrate…
Cheers!

Tea & Talk
Oct 10th
Today is World Mental Health Day.

To mark World Mental Health Day thousands of people across the UK are taking part in a Tea and Talk fundraising event. People are getting together with friends & colleagues and putting the kettle on, and inviting them to make a donation to the Mental Health Foundation – it’s as simple as that.

Last year, over 6000 people took part in the Tea and Talk event. This year the charity want even more people ‘nattering’, and with your help, we can make this happen. Anyone can organise an event at any time. One such lady who is doing just that is Lesley Rawlinson of Cupcakes in the City.

Cupcakes in the City has organised an event for Sunday 17th October between 3pm—6pm, at Cricket Fashion Store, Matthew Street, Liverpool. They have prize donations to raffle to raise money and help awareness towards The Mental Health Foundation. We wish Lesley every success.

What better way to start the day than with Anna, oh and a lovely cup of Rosy Lee…

Our friend Anna is not just a blonde goddess, she is also adept in the art of writing, click here for Anna’s blog, dancing, some other stuff, and of course the most important of all… tea making! Anna prefers hers milky and she never squeezes the tea bag before removing it from the mug, cardinal sin apparently…

Anna wears Tea Appreciation Society Tea Not War tee shirt.
Feel free to upload your Tea Appreciation Society photos to our facebook page, or email them to hello@teaappreciationsociety.org, you never know we may even feature you on our blog. Chin Chin!

Over tea-cups and in the square the tongue has its desire
Sep 14th

At last the secret is out,
as it always must come in the end,
the delicious story is ripe to tell an intimate friend;
Over tea-cups and in the square the tongue has its desire;
Still waters run deep,
my dear,
there’s never smoke without fire
